Recommended Posts

Hi, I tried to disable the killstreaks on my server but no way it worked.

I have used:

// gameplay
set scr_game_allowkillcam 0
set scr_game_onlyheadshots 0
set scr_game_deathpointloss 0
set scr_game_suicidepointloss 0
set scr_team_teamkillpointloss     1
set scr_game_spectatetype 1
set scr_game_forceuav 0
set scr_game_hardpoints    0               <-----------------------

// hardpoints
set scr_hardpoint_allowartillery 0         <--------------------
set scr_hardpoint_allowuav 0               <--------------------
set scr_hardpoint_allowhelicopter 0     <--------------------

I could not use this

http://banglagamer.com/showthread.php?11735-CoD4-Tournament-server-settings

"Usually cod4 tournaments are held in TDM format in BD and certain perks/attachments are Banned.
So here is dedicated server config for cod4.Its easier to ban anything by using cfg.U dont have to scream urself after hosting a match.smile.png
in this cfg u see>

#AIRSUPPORT(uav,airstrike,heli),stungrenade,grenadelauncher,rpg,acogsite,martyrd om, laststand,uavjammer are BANNED.
#Sniper CLASS limit MAX 1 per team.
#Toleration by teamkilling is Disabled!!!
"

"set scr_game_hardpoints 0

// hardpoints
set scr_hardpoint_allowartillery 0
set scr_hardpoint_allowuav 0
set scr_hardpoint_allowhelicopter 0
"

This didn't work for me.

Anyone know if there is any mod to disable killstreaks or script, plugin or whatever? or to raise the number of deaths that are needed to use X killstreak, I tried it but it didn't work either, I don't know how to implement it, but simply placing it in the .cfg doesn't work.

Please tell me which basic script you would need to change to disable it?

_hardpoints.gsc from memory

Thanks for the quick response. I can't find this file in my base libraries. Could you elaborate a bit more on this file, where does the server read it? (Linux debian strech)

I have read all the pages you linked, but there is no indication of full operation. So I got stuck here again, created the right directories, I just needed to be able to load. Do I need scripts to run? I want to know the connection because I don't quite see how it works. Thank you in advance for your help.

You need to use the Newexperience script.

the server does read _hardpoints.gsc from the iwd files of your server installation. at runtime the files inside the iwd archives are read as a virtual file system. the cod4x server gives you the ability to overload your own script instead of the original script in the iwd archives. this procedure is described here https://docs.cod4x.me/modding/scriptingguide/quickstart.html with _callbacksetup.gsc as an example. you must make sure that the gsc file you are overriding is in the exactly same place as the original one in the virtual file system.

the original file is in *.iwd/maps/mp/gametypes/_hardpoints.gsc

to overwrite it, put the original file into main_shared/maps/mp/gametypes/_hardpoints.gsc

this is the original file. https://github.com/D4edalus/CoD4MW/blob/master/raw/maps/mp/gametypes/_hardpoints.gsc

once you did that you can just insert some error into your new _hardpoints.gsc file. if the server is crashing your file is being loaded. to disable the streaks just comment the respective calls to giveHardpoint() https://github.com/D4edalus/CoD4MW/blob/master/raw/maps/mp/gametypes/_hardpoints.gsc#L851

Hi there. Thanks to everyone for the help, in the meantime I contacted AlexC who told me the order of the operations and answered the questions. Here I would like to thank him! As well as everyone who makes a significant contribution to my understanding of how it works.
