exceeded limit of 2048 'material' assets

I dont know if is the new version, but this error is now happening again, but the server command is set
+set r_xassetnum "material=5000  image=4000" and its fine
The server runs ok no error, but client side crashes.

--- tested old client versions, its is working ok.

Old client version will not work either. It will crash on access to this high numbered materials.

Hi Fraggy i was waiting for a reply.

Thats the thing, its was working fine, than after update its not.

seens like the server is not sending the "r_xassetnum" to client or the client version is not receiving the command correctly.
 and one more thing,  my old mod version had much more than this and was working fine no problems at all.

Old Mod version, so much added for testing never had problems.

twice the images and textures. 40+ weapons... so many stuff.

CoD4 X 1.8 win_mingw-x86 build 2075 Dec 19 2017 - 1.7.6
Current version: 1.8
 Current subversion: 17.6
 Current build: 2075

Old Client Version 1.7.4/5  

Run all ok.

cod4x18_v17_7_client - this version, start to break some maps.

cod4x18_v17_9_client - this one break all.

New Server versions - Exceeded limit of 128 Weapons assets. - dont run the mod ever.

I could keep tracing all this but... i cant change de codes so no lucky.
I love problems but haha i cant solve this ones.

Exceeding images is no problem. But materials is.

Problem is the material index is coded as 11 bit-fields in a 64bit variable. Other bits are used for something else. So it does crash when render tries to draw the higher numbered materials.

Why did so in these files Saw_bipod_crouch_mp saw_bipod_prone_mp saw_bipod_stand_mp It is impossible to change aliases
If you change that there is no sound firing
Today the half of the day has sat a besstku
On the 2055 version everything works
Thought here build 987 fixed
